So what does everyone think of this?

I'm glad its about time we started using this system :banner:

just shows how we are progressing as a club finally after many years of stagnating as a club.

absolutely brilliant news :)

i love what McLeish is doing here at our club.

Finally, after years of dross we're going to be watching an exciting and attacking team!

I'm looking forward to it :)

I'm surprised that individual clubs can decide about this. I'd have thought if there ws a ruling on it, they'd ALL have to do it.....

Don't like it.
Never have, never will.
It's a gimmick.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd rather have our players take their time and be accurate rather than just rush around throwing the ball in as quickly as possible.
McLeish has talked a lot about making us pass and retain the ball far better (which I agree is the way forward)and I don't see how this ties in with a more measured approach.

Saves having to wait for the ball to come out of the stand, you can get on with play within 5-10 second once the ball is out.

At the end of the day our throw in's couldn't be any worse than last year, must be worth a try?

sorr spike - BCFC have been atrocious at throw ins for a couple of years now, never quick enough, never enough movement... this is through a lack of tactical coaching IMO.

AM is obviously targeting this and so getting multi ball introduced. Multiball does not mean players have to throw the ball asap, they can take as long as they normally do and be accurate if they like.

The very fact the club are moving in this direction can only be a good thing...

It gives the players the option of the quick throw, it means they get the ball in their hands quicker it doesnt mean they have to act like a looney with a hot potatoe and throw it at the first possible option.

Yeah, the quicker the ball is thrown-in, the quicker the opposition gets it back! Matt Sadler was an ace at taking 5 mins to take a throw-in and always giving it away. Although there has been a marked improvement, players are still slow to take up position. Hopefully, McLeish has been working on that side of their game too.

I think it's a sign of the quick, forward football that McLeish wants us to play. Our throw-ins have been a waste over the last few seasons, no movement at all. So I hope this new thing will make players more alert.

I can see it now, Murphy could take one of his long throw-ins quickly straight past all the players, onto Jerome and goal **thumbup

look at the amount of times we lost our own throw-ins last season, i can't remember a certain 1 throw-in where something positive came from it....so hopefully rushing will make them better
